The optimal stringing: Know when and how your tennis racket needs the decisive boost!

The right stringing is crucial for your playing success.

Toalson relies on individual stringing to avoid arm problems and uncontrolled strokes and to get the best out of your game. Get advice from an expert in the Toalson Tennis Shop and improve your game with the right tennis string.

The right string is important for your playing success.

Many tennis companies, including Toalson, have already given up pre-strung tennis rackets. For many, the focus may be on saving money on thousands of rackets, but not at Toalson. The right stringing is extremely important for your playing success. The company has a completely different approach to stringing tennis racquets thanks to its decades of development work on tennis string technology. Imagine you have developed a top tennis string and are proud of it. It is then strung in many tennis rackets in advance, delivered and the customer despairs because it is already 12 weeks old. Shipping and delivery takes tens of weeks before the racket arrives in a country. Not even at the store and only much, much later at their place.

The art of stringing: a key to optimal playing success?

But there's a small catch! - and it makes a big difference to the playability, arm-friendliness, enjoyment and playing success of the tennis player and therefore to the recommendation of the tennis string.

The right individual selection of the many different tennis strings that are now available in the tennis world is an essential factor. It should be adapted to the playing style of each tennis player and also to the tennis racket (its frame hardness and head size).

The correctly adjusted stringing weight must be observed

If the strings are strung too hard, the tennis balls will fly too short, the effort required will be too great and this can lead to arm problems. On the other hand, tennis strings that are strung too softly usually cause the balls to fly out. It is therefore advisable to buy a tennis racket that is strung when you buy it, as I was given the best advice. Please note that incorrectly strung tennis racquets or tennis racquets that are played too long can lead to tennis elbow, arm problems and uncontrolled strokes. When tennis racquets are roughly strung in a few minutes in the factories, hardness and accuracy vary massively, plus a transportation route of at least 12 weeks make any stringing seem more like an unnecessary evil than a professional benefit. It makes every professional stringer's hair stand on end when they tell him that they have been playing with the original string for 5 months and still think it is OK.

So how and when should you restring your racket?

Do they have arm problems, do they hit the balls too far out or are the balls always too short or not precise enough? Do you lack experience or feel for it? Find a good tennis coach, professional stringer or tennis pro who can recommend the right individual tennis string for you. You should do this immediately and you will be surprised how quickly you will learn to feel the tennis string and thus improve your game - without any complaints.

As an ex-professional Davis Cup player, long-time coach and tournament player, I can say from experience that there is an individual and specific tennis string for everyone, which enchants with its qualitative characteristics. Toalson.at
