The Dynamics Plus Epicondylitis Support targets the causes of tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow. The large Plus Pad absorbs the vibration that is caused by hand and finger movements. This prevents irritation from being transferred to the elbow, so that the inflammation of the muscle attachments can abate.  

Plus pad

A large pad provides targeted relief for the tendon insertions on the elbow. The Plus pad acts as a cushioning body on the forearm muscles. It absorbs vibrations caused by hand and finger movements. The load forces on the elbow are reduced so that the tendon insertions can regenerate. The pad is made of medical-grade polyurethane with a skin-friendly textile cover for optimum wearer comfort. Longitudinal grooves ensure a snug shape, while the flattened edges ensure that the support fits snugly under clothing.

Latex-free knitted bandage

A comfortable knitted bandage holds the Plus pad in place on the forearm. Thanks to its light compression and anatomical fit, it sits comfortably and securely. The functions of the support merge with the innovative honeycomb design, for which Dynamics Plus products have already won several awards. The latex-free microfibre knit with an open-pored fine structure ensures high breathability

Detachable Velcro strap

An elasticated Velcro strap can be attached to the support for an even more secure fit. Individually adjustable, it ensures a secure fit.

Stretchy end edges

The elasticated, pressure-reducing knitted edges of the Dynamics Plus epicondylitis support are another extra feature for optimum comfort. Pleasantly flat and with a high stretch reserve, they ensure a smooth transition to the skin without cutting into it.

Proven to combat the causes of tennis elbow

The Dynamics Plus epicondylitis support offers an alternative principle of action against tennis elbow: instead of applying pressure to specific points, a large gel pad is applied to the forearm. It acts as a cushion to reduce the transmission of stimuli to the elbow so that the inflammation can heal. The aim of a recently published study was to test this principle of action (OUP 11/2017).

The result: the Dynamics Plus epicondylitis support has been proven to reduce muscle activity when playing tennis. In addition, the muscles also vibrate less than with a classic elbow brace. This suggests that the large pad reduces muscle vibrations and thus relieves the tendon origins. The brace therefore successfully addresses the causes of tennis elbow. As the active principle is not based on immobilisation, the Dynamics Plus epicondylitis support is particularly suitable for active patients.

Indications

The Dynamics Plus epicondylitis support is suitable for treating the following indications

• tennis elbow (Epicondylitis humeri radialis)
• golfer's elbow (Epicondylitis humeri ulnaris)

Contraindications

In the following cases you should consult your doctor before using this product:

• skin conditions or injuries in the area of application, particularly where signs of inflammation are present, such as redness, temperature increase or swelling
• feeling of numbness and circulatory problems in the area of application
• problems with lymphatic drainage as well as unexplained swelling 
  

Sizing system

To determine the size of the support, the circumference is measured at the strongest point of the forearm.

The Dynamics Plus epicondylitis support is available in high-quality carbon fibre and can be used as a universal version for right and left elbows for both tennis players and golfers.

Correct application

The Dynamics Plus epicondylitis support must be fitted correctly for it to be fully effective.

Here you can see how to put the product on correctly:

To apply the support, open the elasticated strap. Pull the wider end of the support over the forearm, not over the elbow. For tennis elbows, the pad must be on the upper side of the forearm, for golfer's elbows on the underside. Please wear the support directly on the skin - this is the only way it can be effective.

If necessary, you can attach the separate Velcro strap for better support. To do this, attach the narrow Velcro fastener of the strap to the fleece band on the support. Now guide the strap around the arm and fasten it loosely. Please ensure that the product is not too tight to avoid strangulation.

Good to know

• The initial fitting and application of the product as well as instruction in its proper and safe use must be carried out by trained medical/orthopaedic professionals.
• Wear the product directly on the skin. It may only be worn on intact skin. If it is to be worn in combination with other products, please discuss this with your doctor beforehand.
• Unless otherwise prescribed, the product should be taken off during longer periods of rest (e.g. when sleeping)
• If you experience an unpleasant feeling, severe pain or other discomfort while wearing the product, take it off and contact your doctor or specialist retailer. 
  

How to use the Dynamics Plus epicondylitis support correctly

Please observe the following instructions for washing and caring for your aid:

• The product should be washed before being used for the first time regularly thereafter.
• Before washing, remove the pad from the support and close the Velcro fastener of the strap. The pad must not be machine washed. Please clean the pad with a damp cloth or handwash with a mild soapy solution.
• Wash the product separately in a small wash bag at a maximum temperature of 30° C. Use a mild detergent without softener (e. g. Ofa Clean special detergent) and rinse the product out well. A gentle spin can be used for this product but please do not wring it out.
• Mould the product into the right shape and air-dry it. Do not dry the product in the dryer, on a radiator or in direct sunlight and do not iron.
• In order to maintain the quality of your product please do not use any chemical cleaning products, bleaches, petrol or fabric softener.
• Do not apply any fatty or acidic creams, ointments or lotions to the skin in the usage area. These substances can affect the material of the product.
• Store the product in a cool dry place away from sunlight and heat and preferably in the original packaging. Please dispose of the product according to local specifications after the end of use.
